AVAESEN is one of the nine european partners of the ECOTOUR Project. The project, ECOTOUR – Management of Efficient Energy in Tourism Industry, is financed through Lifelong Learning Program 2013, Action: Leonardo Da Vinci – Transfer of Innovation.
ECOTOUR aims to transfer the know-how of ECVET using the qualification of Tourism Energy Manager as a sample qualification.The enhancement of transnational mobility in training Tourism Energy Managers will be realized through the transfer of knowledge and materials from the transnational partnership.
The consortium of the project is formed by university foundations, research institutes, regional authorities, tourism association, VET providers, and energy efficiency associations from Romania, Austria, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, and Finland. The project will transfer learning methodologies and innovative principles from the secondary sector to the tourism industry in order to allow the development of new skills for a new job in this sector: the Tourism Energy Manager. Pilot testing, awareness raising events and trainings are just some mediums through which the project plans to give these skills to the tourism sector, and on a longer term, foster further development of the knowledge skills and competencies in other tertiary industries.
The planned outcome of the project will comprise also of a series of units of learning and material for the qualification of Tourism Energy Manager.
